Position Summary:

Oversee and review GL accounting activities performed by the operations team, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.

Drive timely resolution of reconciliation exceptions and aged items through effective collaboration with business stakeholders and support teams.

Review month-end close activities, ensuring adherence to timelines, accounting standards, and internal controls.

Partner with business functions and finance teams to provide accounting guidance, resolve queries, and improve financial transparency.

Monitor balance sheet accounts and GL trends, identifying risks, unusual transactions, and opportunities for corrective actions.

Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce manual effort across accounting processes.

Maintain and update process documentation, SOPs, and control frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational and audit requirements.

Support statutory audits, tax audits, and compliance reviews by coordinating documentation, schedules, and stakeholder responses.

Perform quality reviews of journals, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments to ensure adherence to company policies.

Provide guidance and mentorship to clerical and operational team members, driving service excellence, governance, and continuous capability development.

Ensure accurate recording of RTR functional transactions in general ledger

Oversee & review preparation of the Balance Sheet reconciliations & journal entries to GL within prescribed timelines.

Maintain correct records on assigned GL accounts and ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.

Monitor, analyze, and resolve open items balance sheet accounts to ensure timely clearing.

Implement necessary process updates.

Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, ship-to-collect, clearance and your peers in other regions to ensure consistent & standardized treatment on transactions.

Support audits and provide documentation for respective RTR functional area related queries.

Prepare RTR function related reports and analysis of open items.

Perform numerical analysis to validate computations, identify discrepancies & solve the process gaps.

Assist in process improvement projects and business optimization initiatives.

Proficiency in numerical analysis and ability to interpret complex data.

Strong financial accounting knowledge, including accruals, reconciliations, and revenue accounting.

Advanced Excel skills for calculations and reconciliations.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent)

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Proactive willingness and initiative to learn and adopt new tools, applications and Gen AI in daily work to enhance efficiency

Prior experience in Finance functions within a corporate environment in roles related to process management & improvements
