Analyst-HUD Healthcare & Loan Processor-SC

We are seeking a detail-oriented HUD Healthcare Analyst & Loan Processor to support the origination, underwriting, and closing of FHA-insured healthcare loans (primarily Section 232). This role is heavily execution-focused, emphasizing loan processing, document management, underwriting support, and HUD submissions, rather than credit risk decision-making. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HUD healthcare transactions and thrives in a process-driven, deadline-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities: Loan Processing & HUD Submissions Prepare, assemble, and review HUD Pre-Application and Firm Application submission packages Coordinate, order, and track third-party reports, including appraisals, Capital Needs Assessments (CNA), Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), market studies, and surveys Ensure all documentation complies with HUD, FHA, and lender requirements Maintain HUD processing checklists, submission timelines, and tracking logs to ensure timely and accurate submissions Underwriting & Analytical Support Assist senior underwriters with financial and credit analysis of healthcare real estate transactions Review borrower financial statements, operating statements, rent rolls, and historical performance data Analyze historical and projected cash flow, debt service coverage ratios (DSCR), and expense trends Support loan sizing models, sources and uses analyses, and underwriting narratives for HUD submissions Transaction Coordination Serve as a primary point of coordination among internal teams, borrowers, legal counsel, HUD staff, and third-party consultants Respond to HUD questions, conditions, and clarification requests in a timely and organized manner Track, manage, and clear underwriting and closing conditions Support the closing process through final HUD approvals and documentation Data & Reporting Maintain complete and accurate loan files within internal systems Update internal tracking reports, processing logs, and pipeline dashboards Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality control across all loan documentation and submissions Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry standards Mentor and guide junior developers

Experience in HUD/FHA healthcare lending, with Section 232 experience strongly preferred. Direct experience with HUD loan processing and application submissions. Strong financial analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling. Deep familiarity with HUD healthcare documentation, processes, and workflow. High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines in a remote or fast-paced environment. Bachelor's / Master's degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent
