About the Role

The Analyst – Cost Report is responsible for supporting FinThrive's Medicare cost report services and software clients through high-quality analysis, project execution, and client engagement. This role requires a strong foundation in healthcare reimbursement, the ability to independently manage complex assignments, and the application of critical thinking to identify exceptions and reimbursement opportunities.

The Analyst operates with minimal supervision and plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery while contributing to continuous improvement of processes, products, and client outcomes.

  • Drive consistent, compliant, and high‑quality delivery across DSH, Bad Debt, and UCA engagements
  • Translate regulatory complexity into actionable strategies for clients and internal teams
  • Build a high‑performing reimbursement team by investing in coaching, mentoring, and formalized training
  • Influence organizational strategy through insights derived from regulatory research, client outcomes, and market trends

What you will do

  • Execute and deliver complex cost report projects, including those with non-standard requirements, elevated levels of complexity, and compressed timelines
  • Apply independent judgment to identify exception conditions, interpret findings, and uncover potential reimbursement opportunities for clients
  • Ensure all assigned projects remain on track to meet client expectations, contractual requirements, and delivery deadlines
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality and accuracy across all deliverables
  • Respond directly to client inquiries, resolving issues and providing clear, professional communication
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and cross-functional partners to support delivery and issue resolution
  • Maintain and continuously expand knowledge of FinThrive products, tools, and evolving Medicare reimbursement regulations
  • Provide feedback to management on product functionality, process improvements, and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and client results
  • Operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • May support multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Ongoing learning related to Medicare regulations and reimbursement methodologies
  • Support additional responsibilities and initiatives as assigned

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field 3–4 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare consulting, or Medicare reimbursement services Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and deliver results with minimal supervision Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong client service orientation Process-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
