Overview:

The Marketing Executive will play a key role in delivering integrated sales and marketing plans and campaigns that support each business's objectives and Gallagher's short- and long-term growth ambitions. Working collaboratively with the wider marketing and communications team, the role will help strengthen the Gallagher brand, deliver thought leadership and insight-led campaigns that generate organic sales leads and revenue opportunities, and support a differentiated client experience that improves retention and advocacy. In addition to supporting the Specialty business, the Marketing Executive will contribute to Gallagher's European marketing activity, ensuring content and campaigns align with regional strategies. The role will also support the delivery of digital and social marketing plans to engage target audiences, improve conversion, enhance customer journeys and user experience, and report on web performance metrics and ROI.

How you'll make an impactResponsibilities:**

  • Support senior marketing colleagues in delivering marketing plans to support our corporate, divisional, and business aims.
  • Ensure all marketing activity is grounded in a strong understanding of business goals, products, industry, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
  • Ensure all marketing activity follows the processes and best practices required to deliver excellent results.
  • Understand campaign KPIs and communicate clearly back to the marketing team as required, particularly analytics.
  • Be creative in the approach to marketing and be willing to test and trial new activities.
  • Challenge the boundaries of marketing, ensuring all forms of media and channels are deployed when delivering campaigns.
  • Ensure necessary compliance sign-off for marketing activities, including FinProms approval.
  • Write compelling and effective copy for social media and email automations, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Brief relevant teams, including creative and digital teams, to ensure the successful execution of marketing activities.

Stakeholder Accountabilities

  • Develop relationships within the Specialty marketing community and wider Specialty business.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing & Communication colleagues to ensure marketing activity is joined up to deliver customer-centric and best in class marketing.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of our core customer groups.

Operational Excellence

  • Apply project and campaign management tools and best practice to ensure projects are delivered effectively, efficiently and to budget.
  • Always look for efficiencies in respect of how the team is working; identify issues and challenges early on and work with Senior Marketing Managers to develop tangible ways to improve performance.
  • Understand the changing regulatory and legal environment around marketing activities, ensure risks are factored in to all strategies and activities, flagging potential risks as required to senior management and putting in place all measures to suitable mitigate risk.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and become an active champion of the brand.
  • Ensure necessary FinProms/compliance sign off is obtained in a timely fashion and in full adherence with corporate policies.
  • Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulation, good governance and Gallagher's shared values, in particular, putting customers at the heart of our business.

 

 

About you:

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree standard or higher (desirable) or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 3+ years of marketing experience in either a commercial sector or agency setting, ideally financial services.
  • Experience in execution of social media and email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in execution of marketing projects adhering to best practice marketing principles.
  • Experience in delivery of end-to-end marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in managing internal stakeholders and working as part of a wider marketing function.

  • Experience of using email client software, LinkedIn, website CMS, Google Analytics, and Adobe creative software desirable.
