D&T Quality Engineer II

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our Digital & Technology team. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on building scalable automation frameworks, enhancing test quality, and driving automation excellence across web, mobile, and API applications.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in automation testing, DevOps practices, and modern quality engineering principles while serving as a technical SME and mentor within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust UI, API, and mobile automation frameworks.
• Build automated test solutions using Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Develop API automation using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform database validation and backend testing.
• Mentor team members and promote automation best practices.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, SDET, or Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred), Selenium, or Cypress.
• Experience in API Automation Testing using Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools.
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Understanding of Microservices, API integrations, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Mobile Application Automation Testing.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and Page Object Model (POM).
• ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
