Description

Provides support for Accounting department activities with specific responsibility for processing, recording & reconciling financial information in compliance with established policies. Also provides instructions, may provide recommendations and accounting support to other company personnel.

  • Implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Cash books, Employee Reimbursements etc.

  • Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.

  • Assists with financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.

  • Assists with month-end and year-end close process including analysing and preparing reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

  • Assists in the recording of transactions from established processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report, deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy.

  • Assists with the information requests for the annual financial audit.

  • Assists with gathering/preparing information required under local tax rules and regulations.

  • Provide support for local tax activities as required- monthly TDS and GST working for payment etc.

  • Working knowledge of GST data preparation and GST laws.

  • Knowledge of Fixed Assets Verification and maintaining Fixed Assets Register in excel and ERP.

  • Accounting & Reporting: Oversee daily general ledger entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and closing activities (monthly/quarterly/annual). Inter state books and balances reconciliation and closing entries. Lease accounting and entries.

  • AP payments: Co-ordinating with stakeholders and making payments and booking invoices.

  • GST & Taxation: End-to-end management of GST compliance, including monthly reconciliations (GSTR-2A/2B), filing of GSTR-1, 3B, and annual returns (GSTR-9/9C).

  • Knowledge
    •Building functional knowledge/expertise in area(s) of focus.
    •Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Skills:
    Language skills: ability to read, comprehend and follow standard procedures or instruction in local language and in English. (Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in English preferred.)
    •Communication skills: ability to communicate professionally (communicate respectfully, listen, articulate/explain issues, use professional tone, know when to email vs call, etc.). Ability to communicate complex information in a simplified and clear manner; can communicate effectively with others, able to develop and modify communication strategies to deliver difficult or complex information.
    •Interpersonal skills: ability to create positive interactions with colleagues; actively communicates with co-workers or with management in a timely & professional manner; maintains collaborative working relationship with others to improve performance.
    •Teamwork: interface well with others, knows who to go to and how to communicate issues/needs. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
    •Problem solving: identifies potential problems, articulates / classifies issues and is able to determine next steps; applies sound analytical and reasoning skills during the problem-solving process; analyzes the data gathered.

  • Time management / organizational skills: detail oriented and manages time and priorities appropriately - approaches work in an organized and systematic manner. Able to manage deadlines.
    •Flexibility: able to adapt to change, able to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. Able to adapt communication styles when needed.
