GIS Developer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in ESRI products and have over 5 years of experience in GIS development. This role will focus on creating and implementing advanced GIS solutions for our projects in the clean/green energy and utility sectors, including virtual power plants and data strategy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications using ESRI products such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Server. • Develop custom geospatial solutions and tools using Python, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages. • Integrate GIS applications with other data systems and technologies to support comprehensive data analysis and visualization. • Perform spatial data analysis and create high-quality maps, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making processes. • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver GIS solutions that meet business needs. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior GIS developers and analysts. • Stay updated with the latest advancements in GIS technology and best practices, and incorporate them into projects. • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of spatial data and GIS applications.

Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of professional experience in GIS development, with a strong focus on ESRI products. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL. • Experience with web GIS development using ESRI Web AppBuilder, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, or similar frameworks. • Strong understanding of spatial data management, geoprocessing, and spatialanalysis techniques. • Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Passion for clean/green energy and sustainability.

Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree in a related field. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with open-source GIS tools and libraries. • Knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in areas such as renewable energy, utilities, or virtual power plants.
