SDE 2 - Backend (Python)

As an SDE 2 - Python (Backend) at Habuild, you will be responsible for designing and developing backend services that are scalable, secure, and performant. You will play a key role in implementing business logic, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring the reliability of our systems that serve millions of users.You'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality features that support our mission to make wellness accessible to everyone.Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Python and relevant frameworksHas understanding of GenAI and relevant tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features end-to-endWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested codeContribute to system architecture, data modeling, and backend infrastructureParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planningTroubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring high system availabilityWork closely with DevOps to improve deployment pipelines and monitoring

3+ years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in PythonExperience with Python web frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or FlaskSolid understanding of RESTful API design, data structures, and algorithmsHands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues (Kafka or RabbitMQ)Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and containerization tools like DockerExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testingGood understanding of system design and scalable backend architectureStrong communication and collaboration skills
