Software Engineer - Enterprise Applications

Role Overview

The Software Engineer – EWM is responsible for understanding business requirements and translating them into SAP EWM configurations and enhancements to support operational excellence in the global supply chain. The role includes functional design, implementation, testing, post-production support, and incident resolution while collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams globally .

Roles & Responsibilities

Delivery and Execution

• Translate functional requirements into SAP EWM system configurations and enhancements
• Conduct unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth business process execution
• Prepare configuration documents, test scripts, and end-user training materials
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, change control processes, and documentation protocols

Support and Enablement

• Provide post-go-live support and resolve production issues related to EWM processes
• Identify areas for enhancement and automation to support continuous improvement
• Partner with global stakeholders to align system capabilities with business needs
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and trends in warehouse management systems.

Requirements

Required Experience

• 1 to 4 years of experience in SAP EWM as a functional configurator or techno-functional analyst
• Experience in SAP implementation, enhancements, or support projects within warehouse management or logistics modules.
• Experience in a global delivery model or Global Technology Center is a plus

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in SAP EWM configuration and customization
• Hands-on expertise in inbound and outbound processes, warehouse tasks, and warehouse order management
• Knowledge of integration between SAP EWM and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, WM
• Experience with RF framework and warehouse monitor
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues and conduct root cause analysis
• Competence in documentation and preparation of Functional Specifications (FS) for RICEFWs
• Experience working with global teams in agile delivery models

Desired Skills

• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA EWM and decentralized EWM deployment models
• Familiarity with warehouse automation and third-party logistics integrations
• Exposure to SAP TM or other SCM modules
• Basic ABAP debugging skills for functional support .
