Software Engineer

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer – Front End, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of modern, scalable UI applications using React, React Native, and Next.js. You will work closely with Senior and Lead Engineers to build high‑quality user interfaces, reusable components, and optimized front‑end experiences for enterprise‑grade applications.

This role requires solid engineering fundamentals, good understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks, and strong collaboration with UX, backend, QA, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery and Execution

• Develop clean, modular, and high‑quality UI components using React, React Native, and Next.js
• Implement reusable UI components, layouts, and patterns aligned with established architecture and design guidelines.
• Support client‑side rendering, elementary SSR/SSG concepts, routing, caching, and performance optimization under supervision.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services using RESTful APIs and secure authentication flows (OAuth2, JWT).
• Ensure UI adherence to accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, browser compatibility, and basic SEO principles.
• Write unit tests using frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright.
• Participate in peer reviews, maintain technical documentation, and contribute to continuous code-quality improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Senior Engineers to support CI/CD workflows for frontend applications.

• Support and Enablement

• Work closely with designers, product managers, architects, and backend developers to deliver intuitive and performant user experiences.
• Assist in debugging and troubleshooting UI issues across local, QA, and production environments.
• Contribute to team-driven component libraries, design systems, and reusable UI assets.
• Stay updated with modern frontend technologies, patterns, and best practices by participating in team learning activities.
• Follow clean coding practices, testing discipline, and frontend engineering conventions established by Lead/Senior Engineers.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.

Required Experience

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in frontend development for web/mobile applications.
• Experience building UI applications using React. Exposure to Next.js and React Native is strongly preferred.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI development.
• Hands‑on experience with:

• React, React Hooks, basic state management (Redux or similar)
• Next.js fundamentals: routing, basic SSR/SSG, layouts, API integration
• React Native fundamentals: mobile UI components, navigation, platform‑specific adjustments

• Strong understanding of REST API integration, authentication basics (OAuth2/JWT), and secure state handling.
• Familiarity with performance optimization basics (lazy loading, memoization, code‑splitting).
• Exposure to testing frameworks: Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright.
• Strong understanding of Git and basic CI/CD workflows for frontend apps.
• Commitment to clean code, maintainability, and engineering best practices.

Desired Skills

• Exposure to cloud‑native frontend deployments (AWS Amplify, Azure Static Web Apps, or GCP Firebase).
• Familiarity with design systems, Storybook, or UI component governance.
• Understanding of analytics, logging, and monitoring tools for frontend performance.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Exposure to retail or B2B digital platforms.
