YOUR TASKS

As Optics Design for Optics Development in the Electronics Division, you will ensure compliance with external and internal quality requirements for the development of product-related software as part of the product development process. You will be responsible for design of optics of exterior lights:

• Assistant Manager – Optics Design

  The person will be responsible for completion of project in a robust reliable cost-effective manner.
  Should be having good knowledge in CATIA V5.
  Knowledge in SPEOS / Lucid shape will be an added advantage, though it is optional.
  Understand the customer requirement and prepare the feasible optical concept which is most suitable and cost effective.
  Interaction with Internal/external customer and deliver the output as per their requirements.
  Preparing new proposals as per the customer requirements.
  Understanding in lighting technologies like – reflectors, refractive optics, light guides, edge lighting, Freeform optics.
  Should have a deep knowledge of optical materials.
  Should be capable of coming up with the best and optimized concepts.
  Knowledge in front lighting system.
  Should have good knowledge in homogeneity improvement methods.
  Cooperate with other departments to align the design with different aspects of the product.
  Should have very good communication and presentation skills.
  Should be able to handle the customers directly without supervision.
  Deep understanding in UN ECE, AIS, FMVSS108, SAE, CCC regulations.
  Should be able to define the optical requirements for tool manufacturing.
  Should be capable of guiding the engineers from the technical point of view.
  Should have good knowledge in LEDs and Electronics concepts. Also, should know about the bulbs which are being used for automotive lighting.
  On-time delivery of tasks as per the project milestone.
  Should be capable of leading a project, delegate, set priorities.
  Should have experience in completing at least 2 full project cycles.
  Understanding of injection molding process and design to manufacture.
  Evaluation of the FTO parts. Should have a strong experience in the validation of parts
  Expected to have knowledge of GOM / GOM Inspect / Zeiss Inspect.
  Troubleshooting, improvising the actual samples.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Physics or Photonics
• Should have the 3 to 5 years' experience in the optics design
