BIM Lead Modeler-1

Purpose: Deliver Modeling Services within Integrated Design Services in direct collaboration with External Global Modeling teams.  Evolve domain expertise in Modeling including process and performance advancements Leverage our common rail of Hilti Modeling community by deploying global tools and guidelines   Key Tasks:   Support project acquisition Support the Project Execution Manager and Lead Engineer in early project phase

• with assessment of quality and availability of information in models provided by customer
• with building limited scoped "model mock-up" for visualization/acquisition purposes
• with review of quotational bid (Framework) of Modeling service.   Own modeling- and output execution •            Set-up project model leveraging all information captured in "Framework" by assigned Project manager •            Embrace all client project- and information requirements towards enabling consulted and contracted Hilti workflow productivity use-cases •            Continuously follow "Design" input by assigned Lead Engineer to run Modelling & Output Services •            Perform in collaboration with internal/external Modelers o            Workload distribution and management of assigned Modelers (70% coordination) o            Perform QA/QC continuously to deliver Modeling & Output services with high quality by following all workflow guidelines and to match agreed client-/project requirements o            Perform clash detection, resolve clashes of Hilti discipline (MEP support, Firestop, Fastening) within constraints of provided design o            Report other issues/clashes which do not meet Design input constraints or when specific applications exceed technical design; proactively communicate to Lead Engineer using global workflow tools o            Produce all scoped Output to enable Hilti use-cases: e.g. prefabrication, digital to field (Jaibot, PLT)   Drive modeling performance  •            Utilize our script library to apply automation on repetitive modeling tasks  •            Leverage global guidelines to harvest common rail within Hilti modeling community •            Ensure full documentation of all activities along the workflow for project documentation •            Record personal as well as External assigned BIM modelers project hours and output; share records w/ Project Manager and Team Lead on agreed and regular basis to feed performance management •            Actively communicate on progress to contribute meeting due-dates in-line of project schedule   Teamwork contribution •            Establish excellent working relationships with fellow Lead Modelers, and functional counterparts in BIMCC, HPEC, and Regional PMOs •            Actively provide input and serve as a sparring partner for counterparts in BIMCC tasked with further developing our modeling services, automations and other software tools. •            Train and act as trusted buddy to new Team members in modeling community.    Accountability: •            Compliant modeling services including output generation and documentation in-line with Hilti's workflow, global guidelines and provided engineering Designs. •            Industry leading modeling execution utilizing lean external resource coordination and efficiency automations. •            Applied global standards in modeling on own projects and within assigned buddies in Hilti    Qualification:       •            Advanced (min. Masters.) degree in structural / civil engineering or architecture min. 3 years of experience •            Professional in ACC, Revit, Navisworks, and Dynamo •            Experienced with MEP applications as a strong plus •            Python and PowerBI knowledge is a plus  •            Further modeling software knowledge preferred   Personal Skills: Functional Expertise •            Structural / civil engineering background •            Good understanding of Building Information Modelling and ISO 19650 Standards. •            Good understanding of MEP/FP and Anchors   Understanding the business •            Understanding the correlation between technical and commercial aspects of engineering work and service offering   Understanding and defining what needs to be done •            Interest in solving complex issues based on an analytical mindset •            Interest in transfer of know-how to others and sharing of competence •            Interest in automation/scripting to increase productivity along the workflow   Getting things done •            Goal achievement and solution-oriented personality •            Track record of meeting deadlines and not compromising on quality by working effectively with others   Working with others •            Willingness to work in cross functional team  •            Empathy and ability to work in a multicultural environment •            Efficient oral and written communicator   Developing yourself and others •            High learning agility and willingness to understand also small details if required •            Willingness to find solutions independently, but ready to follow directions in more complicated situations
