Position Overview

As a Software Engineer I at i95dev, you will be instrumental in integrating large language models (LLMs) into our full-stack eCommerce applications. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to develop, test, and deploy AI-powered features that enhance customer experiences and optimize business operations across digital commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and implement LLM-powered features for eCommerce applications, such as personalized product recommendations, conversational shopping assistants, and content generation tools.
• Develop and optimize prompts for various eCommerce use cases, ensuring context-aware and accurate AI responses.
• Design and implement robust APIs that connect front-end interfaces with back-end LLM services.
• Contribute to the full development lifecycle, including front-end components (using React) and back-end services (using Python).
• Evaluate model performance and implement improvements based on data and user feedback.
• Document your work, share key learnings, and contribute to our team's collective knowledge base.
• Actively participate in regular code reviews, design discussions, and team meetings.

Technical Requirements

• Strong programming fundamentals and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience with AI/ML concepts, particularly in natural language processing.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Llama) and a solid understanding of their capabilities.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering concepts and techniques.
• Required experience with Python; knowledge of frameworks like Flask or FastAPI is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with React or similar modern front-end frameworks is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
