Lead Engineer - Quality Control - Residential Solar

The Senior Design Engineer will implement the right processes and practices across the design operations team. The role is responsible for ensuring the quality of the company's products and services meet or exceed customer expectations by running various processes, like hiring new employees, training them in specific skill sets and procedures, and monitoring existing employees, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Lead quality reviews of solar PV design packages across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects.Ensure all drawings and documents comply with internal standards, regulatory codes, and client requirements.Review and validate conceptual designs for rooftop, carport, ground‑mount systems and EV charging stations.Check layouts, SLDs, string sizing, schedules, and BOQs for technical accuracy.Maintain a robust document control system with proper versioning and traceability.Ensure all technical documents are audit-ready and easily accessible.Manage quality review workflows to meet project deadlines, especially during peak load periods.Track and ensure adherence to quality review timelines.Enforce standard templates and CAD formatting across all design outputs.Drive process improvements to enhance documentation quality.Work closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to align on quality expectations.Support quality-driven initiatives and special assignments.Communicate proactively to resolve quality issues and improve deliverables.Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within teams.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with the specialization in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/ Instrumentation with minimum 3-5 years of relevant Design experienceStrong in AutoCAD and or other cad-based software platformsAttention-to-detail and excellent organization skills.Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.Time management skillsComfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic environmentAbility to work under minimal supervision and resolve issues independently based on project/company standards.
