Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities  

Merchandising & Store Execution  

• Ensure proper display and placement of products as per company guidelines.
• Maintain shelf visibility, phonograms, signage, and promotional displays.
• Monitor product stock levels and coordinate with store staff for replenishment.
• Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) implementation and check product expiry dates.
• Maintain cleanliness and attractiveness of shelves and display units.

Sales Support  

• Support sales teams in executing promotions and trade marketing activities.
• Assist in increasing product off-take through visibility enhancement.
• Coordinate with retailers to secure additional display spaces and visibility opportunities.

Market Monitoring  

• Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
• Share market feedback and customer insights with the sales team.
• Conduct regular store audits and report gaps in execution.

Relationship Management  

• Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and retail staff.
• Ensure smooth coordination between retailers, distributors, and the company sales team.

Reporting  

• Submit daily activity reports, outlet visit reports, and merchandising photos.
• Maintain records of stock movement, promotions, and display execution.

Requirements  

• Minimum qualification: Graduate preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in FMCG merchandising, retail operations, or sales support mandatory.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising standards and market execution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple outlets.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting tools is preferred.
• Willingness to travel within assigned market areas.

Working Conditions  

• Field-based role involving daily market visits.
• 6-day working week.
• Extensive movement across retail outlets.
