Field of activity - • we are currently looking for an Index Analyst, to join the dynamic Custom Index Calculation unit. • The team is responsible for managing the daily BAU's, Client Queries, understanding of Rulebooks. • The candidate will liaise with ISS STOXX stakeholders to ensure reporting is performed with accuracy, timeliness and in compliance with regulations and internal policies. • The candidate will also work in close collaboration with IT teams to increase efficiency and automation of processes. • This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a high-performance team and support this team by applying knowledge and skills to many routine and non-routine activities in the team, and in new and challenging projects.

Tasks/responsibilities • The selected candidate would be primarily working on backtetsing, implementation and maintaining complex client- driven indexing strategies. • Monitoring and handling all the indices and client queries • Understanding the index methodology and develop solution design documents. • Run index backtesting, setup, dissemination and maintenance. • Producing project documentation and training documents. • Communication with clients regarding the project progress and index go-live process. • Use Python/MATLAB to develop indexing strategies for clients. • Contribute towards automation of various functions of the team to reduce manual intervention. • Taking proactive ownership of client inquiries and diligently follow up on them to achieve consistent closure rates on all outstanding matters with regular tracking and monitoring. • implement a learning plan to deepen understanding of the index focusing on its setup, data points, defined rules, and code logic to attend and address all inquiries related to the new index Track reporting processes and outcomes, ensuring any deviations are escalated. • (Quality and Timeliness) SLA Adherence - achieving a 95% success rate in meeting both quality standards and timeliness target. • Enhance or suggest new tools, specify requirements for technical development and test new applications/tools from end to end. • Support the documentation of processes and workflows for the team.

Qualifications/required skills • Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably B.Tech/MCA/MBA mathematics or IT related subjects.) • At least 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Operations, handing indices and client queries • Has strong organizational skills, capability to prioritize and follow established guidelines. • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a result oriented, team-driven organization. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation. • Be able to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks time-efficient and autonomously in parallels and work on tight deadlines. • Be able to work and learn autonomously without minimum of supervision and training (self-starter/self-learner). • Be a team-player, customer orientated attitude and ability to act as a proactive, independent team player with hands-on mentality. • Have in-depth knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS VBA for Excel and MS Access, databases and SQL, knowledge of Python would be a plus. • Good knowledge of reference and market data applications such as Reuters, Bloomberg, IDC • Fluent in English both oral and written.
