Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales pipeline through proactive outreach to build relationships, identify pain points, and gain clarity on next steps.
  • Understand activities of each Inolex customer-facing role through the lens of the customer.
  • Seek, identify, and reach out to new brands and prospects through research, review of market information, CRM information, or other varied sources (website, UL Prospector, leads, samples, social media, industry public relations, conferences, and tradeshows).
  • Contact, build rapport, and qualify/disqualify prospects.
  • Prepare account plans, call reports, sample requests and regular follow up with clients.
  • Engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries.
  • Grow future sales by setting up sales budget, sales forecast and building the opportunity pipeline.
  • Monitor sales performance indicators and report on deviations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with R&D, Procurement, and decision-makers at customer organizations.
  • Provide technical presentations to customer R&D and Product Development team.
  • Provide technical support on formulations, applications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records to enter customer call reports, opportunities and requests as well as to review sales growth & order patterns.
  • Represent Inolex at industry events, tradeshows, and technical seminars.
  • Any additional duties or special projects as required by the business to serve customers.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 2-4 years in the personal care industry.
  • Solid understanding of personal care ingredients, formulation, and market dynamics.
  • Prior formulation experience or ability to troubleshoot is a strong plus.
  • Active in relevant industry associations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work onsite at a desk, remotely, and travel to customer locations and company meetings.
  • This role will be subject to approximately 15% overnight travel.

Summary

Inolex is a fast-growing, innovative manufacturer of sustainable personal care ingredients serving leading brands worldwide. We are seeking an individual who will be independent, organized, and team oriented.  The candidate will be responsible for driving sales and proactively prospecting for new business at contract manufacturers, indie brands, newly founded brands, and formulation/consultant labs. The candidate will also help coordinate sales efforts and customer needs within the US territory, our manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC and our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.
