Portuguese Translator with legal background

We are seeking a Portuguese‑speaking Contract Lawyer with around three years of legal experience. The ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience in Investigations, Compliance, Financial Services, and/or Insurance. This role involves reviewing legal documentation, supporting regulatory processes, and assisting with risk‑related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze contracts and legal documents in Portuguese and English.
• Support investigations by reviewing evidence, identifying risk issues, and summarizing findings.
• Assist Compliance teams with regulatory research, policy reviews, and risk assessments.
• Provide legal support on matters related to Financial Services and Insurance, ensuring alignment with applicable regulations.
• Work cross‑functionally with legal, compliance, risk, and business teams to support ongoing matters.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality and data‑protection standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Law degree (LLB/JD) with Portuguese language skills (Brazilian).
• Approximately 3 years of legal experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Investigations / Compliance / Financial Services / Insurance.
• Strong written and verbal proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Ability to provide clear legal analysis and identify risk areas.
