Position Purpose:

The Dealer – Passive will be responsible for executing and monitoring all trading and operational activities related to passive investment products, including ETFs and Index Funds. The role requires strong analytical, execution, and coordination skills to ensure efficient portfolio management, accurate tracking, and seamless market operations.

Principal Accountabilities:

Portfolio Monitoring & Reconciliation

• Perform daily reconciliation of available cash positions across all portfolios.
• Conduct daily position reconciliation of Index Funds and ETFs with their respective benchmark index compositions.

Fund Flow & Portfolio Management

• Track daily fund flows for each portfolio.
• Update internal models to determine creation, redemption, and rebalancing requirements.
• Assist in maintaining optimal portfolio alignment with benchmark indices.

Trade Execution

• Execute daily trades for passive funds as directed by the Fund Manager using Bloomberg or equivalent trading platforms.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all trade executions.

Portfolio Reporting & Communication

• Provide daily portfolio updates to the Fund Manager, including positions, deviations, and required trade actions.
• Prepare and maintain trade plans and execution summaries.

Market Coordination

• Liaise with market makers to ensure continuous liquidity and tight bid-ask spreads for ETFs.
• Monitor trading activity to maintain efficient market functioning.

MIS & Analytics

• Maintain and circulate periodic MIS reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track peer group performance and passive industry trends.
• Develop and present monthly analytical dashboards and reports.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Certifications:

Qualifications

• Graduate (B.E., B.Sc, B.Com) or CA
• MBA (Finance) preferred

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Relevant experience in ETFs and Index Funds is mandatory
• Experience in front office or back-office operations related to passive investments preferred
