Description

Why do we exist? What do we do? The quality of school education available to students from low-income communities across India isabysmal. Their chances of attending college, or building a career are significantly lower than their high-income peers, condemning them to a life without voice or choice. iTeach was born in 2015 to challengethis status quo and create a level playing field for ALL children. We run free and high-impact schools and an exceptional college-to-career program for the mostdisadvantaged students in Pune, Navi Mumbai , khed . We are known for our world-class professionaldevelopment, our result-oriented team culture, and our student-centric school design. Read more aboutus at www.iTeachSchools.org.The iTeach College to Career Team aims to have all our alumni make it to and through college and gettheir first sustainable job aligned with their personal vision. This is their first step in pulling themselvesand their families out of poverty. We do this work through four centres: Admissions and Scholarships,Near-peer Mentoring, Lifeguarding and the Career Centre. With only 10% of Indian students making it through college—fewer from under-resourcedbackgrounds—many face pressure to work early, marry, or drop out. C2C exists to change this, offeringacademic, financial, and social support to help go to and through college, and into meaningfulemployment.
Program Details (Khed Project)Forbes Marshall, our long time partner and supporter, has been doing some incredible work with thegirls in the Khed area to ensure they get into meaningful careers of their choice, support their family andmake independent life choices.
