The role combines hands-on coaching, performance management, process optimization, and strategic prospecting. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other go-to-market teams to improve lead generation and handoffs. Accountabilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Sales Development team, driving consistent execution, productivity, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and coach Business Development Representatives (BDRs), helping them strengthen prospecting, communication, qualification, and sales skills.
  • Establish team KPIs and monitor performance against lead-generation, prospecting, pipeline-contribution, and productivity targets.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement initiatives that improve team effectiveness.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize sales development processes, prospecting workflows, and best practices.
  • Provide regular coaching on sales tools, processes, messaging, prospecting strategies, and relevant product or industry developments.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent use of Salesforce and maintain reliable records of sales activities, prospect interactions, and lead information.
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards that provide visibility into team performance and pipeline contribution.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align sales development activities with broader go-to-market objectives.
  • Facilitate effective lead handoffs between BDRs and Account Executives to support a seamless prospect experience.
  • Create individualized development plans for BDRs and support their progression toward broader sales and leadership opportunities.
  • Develop strategic prospecting approaches for high-potential accounts and territories while identifying emerging market opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented team culture focused on continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in Sales Development, preferably within SaaS or B2B technology sales.
  • At least 2 years of experience directly managing and developing SDRs or BDRs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the sales development lifecycle and experience leading high-performing sales development teams.
  • Experience selling or supporting complex technology products and navigating longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of prospecting, lead generation, data cleansing, qualification, and pipeline development practices.
  • Hands-on proficiency with sales and prospecting platforms such as Salesforce, Outreach or SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and data-enrichment tools.
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset, with the ability to use performance data to identify inefficiencies and improve sales development strategies.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, product, and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, organized, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and experimentation is encouraged.

Benefits

  • Remote-first work environment, allowing you to work from home.
  • INR 5,00,000 medical insurance coverage for the employee, spouse, up to two dependent children, and parents or parents-in-law.
