Job Title: Mobile Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Mobile Developer with 3–5 years of experience in React Native to join our engineering team. You will own the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our cross-platform mobile application used across 30+ client organizations. 

 

The app operates in demanding field environments — offline mode, low connectivity, GPS tracking, image capture, bulk data sync, and real-time call integration. You will work closely with backend engineers and product managers to deliver features that directly impact field collections performance. 

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Build and maintain cross-platform mobile features in React Native (iOS + Android) aligned with backend APIs. 

·       Implement offline-first data sync mechanisms for field use cases where connectivity is unreliable. 

·       Integrate with REST APIs (Spring Boot 3.x backend) including JWT/OAuth2 authentication flows via Keycloak. 

·       Implement Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications — activity alerts, call assignments, settlement approvals. 

·       Work with device capabilities: GPS location tracking, camera (photo/document capture), file system (bulk upload). 

·       Build call center integrations: click-to-call flows, call status tracking. 

·       Maintain per-client build configurations — 30+ org-specific auth configs, themes, and feature flags. 

·       Write clean, testable component code; participate in code reviews and maintain quality standards. 

·       Optimise app performance: memory, bundle size, startup time, list rendering for large datasets. 

·       Collaborate with backend and product teams in an agile delivery environment. 

Must Have Skills

Core Mobile: 

·       React Native 0.7x — strong proficiency; functional components, hooks, navigation 

·       React Navigation — stack, tab, drawer navigators; deep linking 

·       State management — Redux / Redux Toolkit or MobX 

·       REST API integration — Axios, token refresh, error handling, retry logic 

·       Offline support — AsyncStorage, SQLite (react-native-sqlite-storage or WatermelonDB), sync strategies 

·       Push notifications — Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) integration on Android + iOS 

·       Device APIs — Geolocation, Camera (react-native-camera / vision-camera), permissions management 

·       Platform-specific configuration — Android Gradle, iOS Xcode / CocoaPods, signing 

 

Authentication: 

·       OAuth2 / OIDC — token handling, refresh flows, secure storage (Keychain / Keystore) 

·       Keycloak or similar identity provider integration (preferred) 

 

General: 

·       Git — branching, PR-based workflow 

·       Understanding of REST API design; ability to read backend API contracts 

·       Basic debugging with Flipper / Metro / logcat / Xcode console 

·       Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile: Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or similar 

Prefered / Nice to have

·       Experience building apps for FinTech, NBFC, or field-force use cases 

·       Click-to-call / VoIP integration (SlashRTC, Ozonetel, Exotel, or similar)  

• WebSocket integration for real-time agent status and live call notifications 

·       AWS S3 presigned URL upload from mobile (documents, images)   - Short URL / QR code generation and scanning 

·       Multi-tenant white-labelling: per-client themes, icons, API base URLs, feature toggles 

·       Performance profiling: Hermes JS engine, RAM bundles, Flashlist vs FlatList optimisation 

·       TypeScript — strong typing for React Native components and API models 

·       Unit testing with Jest + React Native Testing Library 

·       Experience distributing to Google Play + Apple App Store 

Required Qualifications

·       3–5 years of professional mobile development experience 

·       At least 2–3 years specifically in React Native (not just React) 

·       Demonstrable experience shipping apps to production on both Android and iOS 

·       B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science or related field 

·       Strong debugging skills in hybrid/native bridge scenarios
