Position Overview We are seeking an experienced HCL Workload Automation (HWA) Administrator/Engineer to implement, configure, and support enterprise job scheduling and automation solutions. The role involves administration, monitoring, and optimization of workload automation environments to ensure reliable and efficient batch and real-time job execution.

Key Responsibilities

Administration Operations • Install, configure, and maintain HCL Workload Automation (HWA) components (Master Domain Manager, Dynamic Domain Manager, Agents). • Design, configure, and schedule batch jobs, workflows, and event-driven tasks. • Monitor job executions, resolve failures, and ensure SLA adherence. • Manage HWA integrations with databases, cloud environments, and enterprise applications.

Automation Optimization • Develop, test, and implement workload automation scripts and policies. • Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual intervention. • Optimize workload performance and resource utilization.

Security Compliance • Ensure workload automation meets organizational security standards. • Maintain compliance with audit requirements and prepare operational documentation. • Implement role-based access controls within HWA.

Performance Troubleshooting • Proactively monitor HWA infrastructure performance. • Troubleshoot agent, job, and scheduler-related issues. • Provide Level 2/3 support for workload automation incidents. Collaboration • Work closely with Application, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end automation coverage. • Participate in change management processes and provide input on scheduling dependencies.

Required Skills Experience • Hands-on experience with HCL Workload Automation (TWS/IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler). • Strong knowledge of job scheduling, workload automation, and batch processing concepts. • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python, PowerShell). • Experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX systems administration. • Familiarity with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and application integration. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid automation setups.

Preferred Qualifications • Certification in HCL Workload Automation or equivalent scheduling tools. • Experience with DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Git, Ansible) integration. • Knowledge of ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to manage complex automation workflows.
