**Role Summary:**Study, research and develop ideas to design new products and systems. Also modify and improve existing products or processes to increase efficiency or improve performance using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes and draft blueprints.

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to product development through engineering activities, creation of drawings, and support for prototype work.

• Applies established methods to design and execute test procedures, conduct feasibility testing, and provide data to validate solutions.

• Collects, analyzes, and interprets technical data and research findings to inform engineering decisions.

• Performs routine troubleshooting tasks, including basic diagnostics and simple problem solving on equipment and processes.

• Builds technical knowledge and stays current on regulations, tools, and industry best practices through ongoing learning and development.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited institution with a major in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred) or related technical discipline or equivalent (e.g., BA, BS, BEng) or equivalent work experience.

• General Experience: Less than 1 year of experience in engineering including internships.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of analytical processes, research methods, and engineering practices to support solution development.

• Skill in collecting, managing, and interpreting technical data to identify trends and support decision-making.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve operational and technical problems using engineering methods and tools.

• Understanding of business processes to analyze current state operations and define future state solutions.

• Skill in engineering design, development, implementation, and testing using appropriate software, tools, and technologies.
