Sr. Engineer

Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer - Solar Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• **Design and Planning:**

• Assist in the preparation of detailed site plans for solar projects, including grading, drainage, and structural designs.

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal project locations and layouts.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop design specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• **Project Coordination:**

• Support the coordination of project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.

• Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates on project progress.

• **Technical Analysis:**

• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and stability of solar installations.

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and evaluate soil conditions to inform foundation design.

• Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PVsyst) for drafting and modeling purposes.

• **Compliance and Quality Control:**

• Ensure all designs and projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.

• Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and other regulatory documentation.

• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

• **Documentation and Reporting:**

• Prepare technical reports, design documents, and project documentation.

• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design changes, site observations, and communication logs.

• Assist in the preparation of project close-out reports and as-built drawings.

Qualifications:

• **Education:**

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• **Experience:**

• 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with exposure to renewable energy or solar projects.

• Internship or project experience in solar energy is a plus.

• **Skills and Competencies:**

• Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).

• Familiarity with renewable energy technologies and principles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
