Responsibilities
The KDN Digital Audit team is seeking a motivated Data & Analytics professional to join as an Analyst and support the delivery of AI-enabled Data & Analytics procedures across audit engagements. The role focuses on leveraging technologies such as Databricks, Python/PySpark, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, and ERP data platforms to analyze transactional data, generate insights, and support the identification of audit risks.
In this role, you will work closely with KPMG member firm audit teams, D&A champions, Assistant Managers, Managers and data specialists through the audit analytics lifecycle. The individual will support data acquisition, transformation, analytics, and reporting activities. This position is ideal for professionals with a foundation in data engineering, analytics, ETL development, and ERP data management who are looking to deepen their expertise in audit analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and data-driven risk assessment.
• Support member firm D&A champions and engagement teams in identifying engagements where AI-enabled D&A procedures may be relevant.
• Assist audit teams in defining data requirements and follow up on missing, incomplete or inconsistent data received from engagement teams.
• Perform data hygiene, validation and basic completeness checks on journals, trial balance and other audit datasets before processing.
• Design, develop, and execute data acquisition, transformation, and analytics solutions using Databricks, Python/PySpark, SQL, Alteryx, and Power BI to support audit objectives.
• Prepare and structure data inputs required for AI enabled D&A procedures in line with agreed guidance and quality expectations.
• Work with data professionals and senior team members to support extraction, cleansing, transformation and issue resolution activities.
• Review analytical outputs at a preliminary level, identify exceptions or unusual patterns, and escalate key observations to the Assistant Manager or Manager for review.
• Support audit teams in understanding outputs from AI enabled D&A procedures and help translate findings into practical audit considerations.
• Track open items, data issues and dependencies, and provide timely status updates to the Assistant Manager, Manager and engagement teams.
• Ensure compliance with firm standards relating to data governance, confidentiality, risk management, information security, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
Educational qualifications
• B.E./B.Tech/MCA
• Candidates with strong audit experience and relevant professional qualifications may also be considered, subject to role requirements.

Work experience
•0-6 months of experience in a large or globally recognized organization and/or Delivery Center environment
•Having prior experience of working on D&A procedures on audit engagements would be an added advantage
