Leadership For Skilled Education Foundation (branded as Leadership for Equity, LFE) is a non-profit organisation based in Pune, Maharashtra, working to strengthen India's public education system so that every child learns and thrives. We envision public education systems that refuse to let children down. LFE partners with state and district governments across multiple states—including Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Haryana—to improve teaching practices and build sustained academic support structures within the public system. Our work is anchored in the belief that public education systems are the gatekeepers of social equity, and strengthening them is essential to ensuring that every child has access to strong foundational and future-ready learning. Approach LFE's systems-change approach focuses on improving classroom practice and enabling government ownership through three core levers: Co-creating high-quality curricular resources and building teacher capacity Developing academic leadership to coach and mentor teachers Providing data-driven advisory support and policy implementation guidance Our model empowers teachers as instructional leaders and embeds long-term support through government-run mentor cadres, continuous classroom observation cycles, and in-system academic structures. Technology plays a critical role, including an in-house Classroom Observation App for real-time monitoring and a WhatsApp-based teacher support chatbot for contextual resource delivery. The approach is iterative and context-responsive, grounded in classroom realities and tailored to state and district needs. Implementation varies across geographies—whether working directly with teachers or through government-appointed mentors—ensuring relevance and feasibility within existing structures. A continuous feedback loop of training, observation, and coaching moves beyond one-time interventions toward sustained practice change. All programs are co-designed and co-implemented with government partners to ensure scale, sustainability, and systemic ownership, ultimately leading to improved student learning outcomes in foundational and future literacy. About Sadhana: Teaching Excellence Lab: Sadhana Teaching Excellence Lab is an initiative by Leadership For Equity (LFE), with CETE, TISS as our key knowledge partner, to revitalise pre-service teacher education in Pune. The Lab focuses on strengthening the skills, mindsets and classroom readiness of aspiring teachers, especially those who hold teaching degrees but have limited access to quality practice opportunities and employment pathways. At the heart of Sadhana is a 6‑month Fellowship program for aspiring teachers. This Fellowship is designed to: Enhance fellows' pedagogical, subject and professional skills through carefully designed learning experiences Provide structured, mentored classroom practice opportunities in partner schools Build reflective practitioners who can plan, facilitate and assess learning effectively To enable this, Sadhana: Teaching Excellence Lab: Runs reflective, practice-oriented Fellowship cohorts for pre-service teachers and recent graduates entering the teaching profession Offers online and in-person learning spaces anchored in contemporary teacher education research and CETE's academic expertise Functions as a resource and practice hub where fellows and teachers can explore new pedagogies, experiment with tools and continuously develop their craft Partners with schools and educational institutions to create meaningful internship and classroom practice opportunities, and to support placement pathways for successful fellows as teachers in these institutions Through this Fellowship and the ecosystem around it, Sadhana aims to contribute to improved classroom practice and, in the long run, better learning outcomes for children in schools. The Admin Assistant, Sadhana, Teaching Excellence Lab, will play a key role in managing the operations of the Lab. The Admin Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the centre and achieving desired outcomes in establishing the centre as a high-resource hub for teacher professional development. Key Responsibilities Centre Management (40%)Manage Housekeeping person - Ensure hygiene and cleanliness duties are well performed by the housekeeping person as required.Procure stationery and cleaning supplies as requiredManage and coordinate repairs & maintenance of the centreInventory Management - managing the assets and materials, maintaining documentationCentre internet management Program Implementation & Coordination (30%)Coordinate logistics, schedule sessions and other programs, ensuring adherence to the operation plan of the centre.Support the procurement of required materials, handbooks and teaching-learning resources for the centre.Assist in tracking program participation to measure impact and ensure quality control.Operational & Administrative Support (30%)Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of Sadhana: Teaching Excellence Lab, working closely with administrative, maintenance and security teams.Maintain digital and physical records of program activities, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.Maintain records of MOUs, assets etc.Support photocopying/printing work as per the needs of sessions, events or workshopsAssist in organising events, workshops, and meetings related to teacher training and capacity-building initiatives at the centre by coordinating with the vendors, shopkeepers and maintaining bills.

H.S.C. pass (required) Computer Knowledge: Able to work on MS Office/Emails/ Google Suite (Drive, sheets, docs. etc.) Must be able to write and type in English and Marathi and understand English. Hindi is optional but preferred.
