Design Engineer - Mechnical

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-

DEVELOP 2D/3D MODELS AND TECHNICAL DRAWINGS using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools

DESIGN MARINE COMPONENTS AND ASSEMBLIES in line with project specifications and industry standards

-

COLLABORATE WITH PRODUCTION, PROCUREMENT, AND QUALITY TEAMS to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability

-

REVISE AND UPDATE DESIGNS based on feedback, testing, and client requirements

-

PREPARE BOMS (BILL OF MATERIALS) and support documentation for manufacturing and procurement

-

ENSURE COMPLIANCE with marine engineering codes, safety regulations, and quality standards

-

PARTICIPATE IN DESIGN REVIEWS and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

SUPPORT CLIENT PROPOSAL PREPARATION by providing technical inputs, design estimates, and documentation as required REQUIREMENTS:

-

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or related field

-

2–4 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in marine or heavy manufacturing industries

-

Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Creo, Inventor)

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and fabrication processes

Good communication and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
