Role Overview
Metalegal Advocates invites applications for a three-month legal internship for law students seeking practical exposure to litigation and advisory work. Interns will assist the firm's lawyers in legal research, drafting, and case preparation while gaining hands-on experience in a professional law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct legal research on statutes, case laws, and regulatory frameworks.
• Assist in drafting legal notes, research memoranda, and case summaries.
• Support lawyers in preparation of pleadings, case files, and documentation.
• Assist in reviewing contracts and legal documents where required.
• Prepare case chronologies and research compilations for ongoing matters.
• Attend court hearings, client meetings, or internal discussions where permitted.
• Support internal legal research and knowledge management initiatives.
Requirements
• Law students who have passed 2nd Year of the 3-year LL.B. programme or passed 4th Year of the 5-year integrated LL.B. programme from a recognised university.
• Strong interest in litigation and regulatory law.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work with attention to detail in a professional legal environment.
