AI Engineer

Metayb is seeking an experienced and innovative AI Practitioner to lead the design, development, and deployment of Artificial Intelligence solutions across its business verticals. This is a full-time, onsite role based in West Africa, offering the opportunity to build enterprise-grade AI systems leveraging cutting-edge technologies in computer vision, NLP, generative AI, and intelligent automation. The role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive Tolaram's AI transformation journey. Key Responsibilities· AI Solution Development: Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models to address business challenges in areas such as supply chain, consumer behavior, sales forecasting, and financial analysis.· Data Strategy & Engineering: Work with large-scale datasets, ensuring quality, preprocessing, and feature engineering for model readiness.· Innovation & Research: Explore and apply cutting-edge AI techniques (NLP, Computer Vision, Predictive Analytics, Generative AI, etc.) to drive innovation.· Business Integration: Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and business workflows for measurable impact.· Performance Monitoring: Continuously track, evaluate, and improve AI models for accuracy, scalability, and business value.· Governance & Compliance: Ensure AI solutions adhere to ethical AI standards, data privacy, and regulatory guidelines.· Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide junior data scientists/engineers and foster a culture of innovation and experimentation.

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field. 5+ years in AI/ML development, with proven end-to-end deployment of AI solutions in real-world settings. Strong proficiency in Python/R, SQL, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Scikit-learn. Experience in deploying models on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of data engineering tools (Spark, Hadoop, Airflow) is a plus. Domain Knowledge: Exposure to FMCG, fintech, or supply chain analytics preferred.
