Staff Accountant II

This is a remote position.

Job Description:

• Monitors and reviews accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
• prepares and reviews budget, revenue, expense, and payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis of data.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and impacts to the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
• Prepare and maintain work papers for all engagement binders.
• Training team members on regular updates.
• Experience in accounting software viz. Quick books and CCH Engagement.
• Responsible for the maintenance of complete and accurate general and subsidiary ledgers for the accounts assigned.

Primary Skills:

• Manage quality of daily processing and demonstrate an ability to support team members with guidance on processing challenging items.
• Complete non-standard processing, with ability to learn and adapt to new situations.
• Reconcile client provided details with output and review work papers in engagement binder.
• Ensure maintenance of timelines and quality of deliverables
• Accuracy/attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of accounting/financial theory and practice
