Design Engineer

• Prepare 2D/3D drawings and designs for transformers and related components.
• Design transformer tanks, structures, bus-bars, supports, and sheet-metal components.
• Create GA, fabrication, assembly, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Use SAP for BOM, material, and engineering-related activities.
• Read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Make necessary design modifications and drawing revisions.
• Coordinate with production, electrical, procurement, and quality teams.
• Ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and production-friendly.
• Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and technical documentation.

Requirements

Candidate Skills & Requirements

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks design, preferably in the transformer industry.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 2D/3D modelling and drafting.
• Experience in transformer tank, structural, sheet-metal, and component design.
• Knowledge of SAP for BOM, material, production, and engineering-related activities.
• Knowledge of BOM preparation, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of fabrication and production requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination with engineering and production teams.
• Knowledge of transformer industry standards is an added advantage.
