Life at NPCI NPCI news The opportunity The incumbent for Internal Audit will be responsible for executing internal audits across NPCI subsidiaries. This role ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards while strengthening internal controls and risk management frameworks. The individual will work closely with Senior from Internal Audit Team, Senior management, the Audit Committee, external auditors, and regulatory bodies like RBI and CAG. and AI-enabled insights to improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and compliance adherence. - Audit Planning & Executiono Prepare and conduct risk‑based internal audits as per the approved annual audit plan across financial, operational, compliance, and IT areas o Develop audit plans, audit programs, and testing procedures o Perform walkthroughs, control testing, and substantive procedures o Identify control gaps, root causes, and improvement opportunities o Perform ad-hoc audit assignments
- Risk, Control & Governanceo Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls o Assess compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
- Reporting & Communicationo Prepare clear, concise audit reports with practical recommendations o Discuss findings with process owners and management to ensure alignment o Track and follow up on agreed management actions, Audit Committee ATRs and ensure timely closure o Prepare presentations of audit results to senior management / audit committees
- Advisory & Value Additiono Provide advisory support on process improvements, system implementations, and new initiatives o Act as a trusted advisor while maintaining independence o Support continuous improvement of internal audit methodology Key skills and experience required
- 2+ years of work experience in Internal Audit preferably in BFSI industry; Big 4 or consulting experience is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks
- AI-enabled mindset with the ability to leverage AI/ML tools and insights to drive smarter decisionmaking, improve data workflows, and enhance outcomes
