Mechanical Engineering Intern

● Work closely with product, business, and operations teams to understand pain-points and integrate mechanical design with broader product requirements. ● Create and optimize enclosure designs for our NIR spectrometers, ensuring robustness, user-friendliness, and aesthetics. ● Oversee the manufacturing process, including procurement of components, assembly, and quality control of hardware devices. ● Own the full hardware product development process from concept to delivery, including prototyping and testing. ● Regularly maintain and troubleshoot devices, ensuring they meet performance standards. ● Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly, testing, and maintenance. Provide training to internal teams and customers. ● Assist in addressing customer queries related to the mechanical aspects of the device, offering troubleshooting guidance when necessary.

● Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. ● Experienced in enclosure design, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and prototyping. ● Familiarity with manufacturing processes, 3D-rpinting, assembly, and component procurement. ● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. ● Ability to work without supervision and good time management skills. ● Good negotiation and vendor management skills. ● Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality products. ● Excellent documentation and written communication skills.
