Description
NRT's fastest growing Aerospace & Defence R&D company is developing multiple programs in Next Generation Mission & Technologies (NGM&T) in Aerospace and Defence for Military and Civilian use by the Indian Ministry of Defence, National Disaster Response Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Telecommunications and more. Key Responsibilities: Communication Systems Development: Architect, design, and develop advanced communication technologies for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Develop link budgets, RF propagation models, and evaluate channel behavior for diverse mission profiles. Drive evaluation and adoption of next-generation communication technologies. Design and implement high-reliability RF and wireless links for command & control, telemetry, and video payload. Build system-level proof-of-concepts and functional prototypes. Integrate communication subsystems with avionics, mission computers, and onboard electronics. Communication Systems Integration: Integrate communication systems with autopilots (Pixhawk, Cube, ArduPilot, PX4) and address real-world issues such as EMI/EMC, cabling, power budgets, and SWaP constraints. Work with onboard computers (OBCs) such as Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, or similar platforms, using basic Python scripting for automation, telemetry handling, system monitoring, and communication-related utilities. Strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional engineering teams. Manage Operations: Perform range tests to validate command & control links, telemetry, radios, and video transmission systems. Conduct bench-level RF testing using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and SDR test setups. Lead out-station flight testing campaigns, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Validate and verify communication system performance using structured test cases. Manage lifecycle issues related to communication hardware, software, and associated resources.
Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (or equivalent). 1-2 years of relevant experience.
