Engineer II - Hardware Development

Design and develop UAV hardware components, with a primary focus on multicopter/Fixed Wings systems. Perform mathematical calculations to optimize UAV performance, including aerodynamics, payload, and flight dynamics. Utilize 3D design tools, particularly Fusion 360, to create and refine UAV designs. Conduct simulations using industry-standard software to validate designs and performance. Pilot UAVs for testing, evaluation, and data collection to support development efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF communication systems into UAV designs. Leverage familiarity with Ground Control Station (GCS) software to configure and monitor UAV operations. Utilize 3D printing technologies for rapid prototyping and component fabrication. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
