Job Description – Process Engineer

Experience Required: 3 to 4 Years

Industry: API / Bulk Drug / Pharma Manufacturing

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Process Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in API/Bulk Drug

manufacturing and process engineering activities. Candidate should have hands-on

experience in process calculations, equipment handling, technology transfer support,

troubleshooting, and process documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

∙Preparation and review of PFD, BFD & P&ID.

∙Involvement in process scale-up and technology transfer activities.

∙Perform Heat & Mass Balance calculations.

∙Handling and troubleshooting of Reactors, Heat Exchangers, Distillation Columns,

Centrifuges, Dryers, and Pumps.

∙Preparation of Process Summary, Utility Consumption, and Plant Capacity

calculations.

∙Preparation of technical datasheets for equipment and instruments.

∙Support pilot trials and commercial batch execution.

∙Coordination with Production, QA, Maintenance, and EHS departments.

∙Participate in HAZOP and process safety activities.

∙Equipment sizing, line sizing, pump hydraulics, and utility calculations.

∙Suggest process improvements for better productivity and safety.

∙Ensure compliance with GMP and safety requirements.

Required Skills:

∙Good knowledge of Process Engineering & API manufacturing.

∙Understanding of Heat & Material Balance.

 

∙Knowledge of PFD, P&ID, and Process Documentation.

∙Basic knowledge of Equipment Design & Utility Calculations.

∙Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

∙Good communication and coordination ability.

Qualification:

∙B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology.

Experience:

∙3 to 4 years of experience in Process Engineering / Production / Technology Transfer

in Pharma or API industry.
