Food AI Intern

Nosh Robotics is a kitchen robotics startup building home robots that cook delicious food. The idea is to take humanity forward and relieve it completely from cooking in the next 20 years. Our vision is to enable everyone to cook and taste dishes from every corner of the Earth, making sure no one misses those meals they crave for, any time of the day! Here is our first product, Nosh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhV1lXGUOsQ We are looking for a passionate Food AI Intern, who will work on one of the most novel problems in AI — building algorithms for food. This role bridges the gap between culinary expertise and technology, helping us automate recipe scaling and cooking process modelling. What you'll do ● Analyse recipes created by our culinary team (currently scaled from 1 to 4 servings) and develop algorithmic approaches to scale new recipes to different serving sizes while preserving taste and quality. ● Identify ingredient ratios, cooking times, and preparation patterns to inform scaling logic. ● Review cooking instructions to extract and standardise preparation steps into structured "cooking algorithms." ● Build logic that can be understood and executed by machines for automated cooking. ● Collaborate closely with culinary experts and engineers to validate and refine algorithms. ● Evaluate these algorithms by cooking on Nosh.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Food Science, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in both AI and food. Basic understanding of algorithms, data analysis, or pattern recognition. Familiarity with Python or other programming languages is a plus.
