Mechanical Test Engineer Intern

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist in evaluating the performance of mechanical components and systems. This role involves identifying potential issues, analyzing failures, and supporting engineering improvements. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a keen analytical mindset. This internship provides an opportunity to work with experienced engineers, apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, and contribute to product enhancements. Key Responsibilities: Support the engineering team in evaluating mechanical components and system performance. Analyze failure modes and performance issues using engineering principles. Assist in conducting investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) to identify sources of mechanical inefficiencies or failures. Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to propose potential improvements. Interpret and document findings to support product development and refinement. Gain exposure to various engineering tools and methodologies used in performance assessment. Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in engineering evaluations.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material behavior, and system dynamics. Analytical mindset with an ability to identify design and performance challenges. Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques (e.g., Fishbone, 5-Whys, FMEA) is a plus. Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar) is an advantage. Proficiency in using mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, force gauges, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
