Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for ensuring smooth billing operations, delivering a seamless customer experience, and supporting store sales and profitability in line with V-Mart Retail standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute billing transactions with high accuracy across all payment methods
• Maximize transaction value through upselling and promotion of ongoing offers
• Manage cash float and perform daily reconciliation
• Process refunds, returns, and credit notes efficiently
• Maintain discipline at the billing counter and manage queues effectively
• Support the sales team during peak hours
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and SOPs

Key Skills

• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
• Good customer handling and communication skills
• Ability to manage time and pressure during peak store hours
• High level of integrity and financial discipline

Functional Skills

• Proficiency in POS systems
• Experience in cash handling and reconciliation
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
• Familiarity with billing software

Eligibility Criteria

• 10th Pass with prior work experience OR
• Minimum 12th Pass (Freshers can apply)
