We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team at One Events International. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and developing new business to expand our market presence.

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for new business development, lead generation, account management and effective communication with clients. The role will involve day-to-day tasks such as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, managing sales processes, conducting market research and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for events and a proven track record in sales and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Identify and research potential clients across market segments.
  • Generate and qualify leads through various channels including networking, cold calling, and industry events.

Proposal Development:

  • Schedule introduction meetings with new clients.
  • Prepare and accompany CS teams to present presentations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal CS teams to create customised event packages and solutions.

New Business Development and Execution:

  • Identify, reach out and build contacts with prospective clients through cold calling.
  • Scheduling meetings with prospects and ensuring event opportunities with the clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and new business objectives in close coordination with the CS teams.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.

Team Coordination:

  • Work closely with the events team to ensure new business opportunities are closed.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Daily and weekly updates on New Business Development and Sales plans.
  • Preparation and maintenance of the online sales funnel with relevant updates in real time.
  • Monthly Review on the progress and future action plans.

  • Identify & Develop Opportunities: Seek out and create new business opportunities, targeting potential clients.
  • Achieve Targets: Generate income to meet agreed annual targets.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Strategize & Plan: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to hit revenue goals.
  • Present & Propose: Craft and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate & Close: Handle contract negotiations and secure deals.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and designers, to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Manage Pipeline: Build and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Record & Report: Keep accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
  • Network: Attend industry events and networking opportunities to build connections and discover new business avenues.
  • Team Management: Hire and manage a team focused on sales and client servicing.

Event Execution and Operations:

  • Coordinate with all stakeholders involved in the event to ensure the delivery of creatives, art work, set design and all other elements of the event.
  • Lead the running of the show/show flow.
  • Oversee the overall production quality of the event.
  • Ensure closure of payment advice (PA) in coordination with production & Invoicing through finance.
  • Ensure all Weekly Reports, HOD Meeting Reports are sent to the Head of Department.
  • Collection of payment from clients for events executed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality or a related field. Post graduate will be considered as an added qualification.
  • Experience: 0 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales and account management, preferably in the event management industry.

Skills:

  • New Business Development, Lead Generation, and Account Management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of new business development and sales.
