About the Role

Introduction – the 'why'

As a Marketing Operations Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting OUP's Academic Marketing team in bringing high‑impact, mission‑driven products to market. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative team that helps amplify the reach, credibility, and discoverability of OUP's Academic publishing.

You'll be joining an organisation committed to quality, innovation, and supporting education and research worldwide. The role offers exposure to a wide range of marketing operations, tools, and cross‑functional teams — from Editorial and Sales to Design, Operations and Technology.

This position is ideal if you're seeking meaningful work where your attention to detail, communication skills, and service‑oriented mindset directly support authors, academic communities, and global dissemination of research.

Opportunity – the 'what'

In this role, you will support day‑to‑day Marketing Operations activities, including administering gratis and incentive copies, maintaining OUP product information, and supporting co‑operative marketing initiatives. You will help create and manage sales collateral and ensure that information presented across public websites and marketing databases (such as STAR) is accurate and up to date.

You will also triage author communications, manage requests from internal teams and external partners, and help deliver new centrally managed tasks assigned to Marketing Operations. Your contribution will have a direct impact on how effectively OUP promotes its Academic products, supports its authors, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.
