Job Description
The person hired in this Analyst role will work closely with and assist the Consumer Insight and Strategy team in Bangalore and the US. The person will work as an integrated member by supporting the Consumer Strategy and Insights team. Headed by the Manager of the CSI team in Bangalore
Roles & responsibilities
- Manage various aspects of primary research project implementation, including, but not limited to:
• Questionnaire designing
• Data analysis
• Report/presentation development
• Follow-up questions and information requests

Work independently, with minimum supervision, by leveraging existing research conducted for assigned brands/business units as well as across People Inc. to respond to client inquiries.

Develop partnerships with CSI team members to assist with conducting and analyzing all assigned projects spanning editorial, consumer marketing, publishing, digital, and other product development

Participate in CSI's departmental initiatives and execute special cross-functional projects as directed by supervisor.

Collaborate and share research learning across the CSI team, whether in Bangalore or U.S.

To be the key stakeholder contact for research requirements and follow-up requests.

Mentor and train analysts
Mandatory Skills
-
Prior experience in Primary Research (1-2 years) and experience with a broad range of primary research approaches.

Prior experience with presenting findings to clients/stakeholders.

Knowledge of quantitative data analysis, with proven proficiency in writing clear and concise insights centric presentations, not simply data reporting, along with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Must have the ability to communicate research findings clearly.

Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written

Hands-on with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple aspects of a project independently.

Excellent analytical capabilities

Postgraduate degree, preferably MBA
Good to have skills

A passion for the American marketplace and at least 2-3 of the content areas served by People Inc.: Celebrity, Pop Culture, Current Events/News, Cooking & Food Culture, Fashion/Beauty, Healthy Living, and other women's "home-centric" topics.

Experience with self-service survey tools and SPSS.

Understanding of publishing, consumer marketing, editorial, and digital functions within the media business.

Knowledge of media research approaches, whether content or publishing related, is a plus
