Position Description

Position Title Executive / Sr. Executive - Instrumentation	Level E3-E4	Reporting to (Title) DGM Projects (E&I)

Position Purpose

The Position will work across a variety of Business environments being directly involved in Instrument Engineering, Execution, product development, implementing Process updates for International Contract Manufacturing Partners. The person will Analyze, plan, execute and perform Instrumentation Project activities related to Consolidating Inputs form engineering documents, P&IDs, implementation of site Safety standards , Coordinating with Contractors, Preparing area wise Tracker & Project Updates, preparing basic  details like IO List , Instrument Index, Instrument Specification Sheet, preparing control narratives & schematics,  Interlock List, cable tray & cable scheduling & related grass root activities for Instrumentation execution.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Coordinating with AM Electrical / DGM Projects, Site Contractor to deliver Project Objectives as per Project Charter/ Schedule for Brown/Green Field Project.
• To assist, coordinate with suggestion mainly on Instrument installations of various field Instruments like Control valves, On Off Valves, HART & FF Transmitters, Analysers & Sensors related to P&ID, Hook Up drawing, Instrument Index .
• Development of Graphics, implementing Interlocks, Control schematics on PLC/DCS Platform.

Operational Responsibilities

• Align Self & Resources for Deliverables as enlisted in Project Schedule/ Charter
• Support Project activities for Green & Brown field Projects
• Preparing Instrument Index, IO List, Instrument Data sheet,
• Engineering Vendor development & assessment
• Preparing/referring Hook Up drawings & ensuring Installations related to same
• Generating Installation BOM,
• Assimilating Data for Implementation from Hazop, Interlock List etc..
• Calibration of various Field Instruments ex- Radar Type LT, PT,DPT, TT, CV, ON-OFF Valve, Analyzers, Sensors & capturing the details in standard Formats.
• Calculation of BOM from Engineering documents
• Validating Measurements & As built drawings post Project Completion
• Preparing BOM for smaller Projects by taking into consolidating Process Load, Cable schedules, Erection Materials etc..
• Raising Service Bills, Validating invoices, Raising PRs on SAP systems & other SAP related activities.
• Measuring & consolidating Calibration Reports, various Check sheets prior to Commissioning & Start up.
• Equipment selections and specification changes related to instruments and software design for PLC/SCADA/DCS.
• Improvements in inventory management related to instrumentation
• Perform analysis of data and implement action plan evaluated from cause analysis

Financial Responsibilities

Assistance in Preparation of Budget & Capex for Small & Brown field Projects

People Responsibilities

Provide on Job guidance to contractors as per laid out norms & to enhance skills and knowledge of self & colleagues

BE / B. Tech - Instrumentation

Work Experience

3–7 years

Functional Competencies

• Proficiency in PLC/DCS installation and logic building, experience in YOKOGAWA DCS operation is preferred
• Ability to handle day to day maintenance and installation of all type of field instruments
• Knowledge of SAP
