About Pixel Image India

Pixel Image India is the production arm of a Scotland-headquartered architectural visualisation and software company. Our Pune team produces high-quality 3D renders, site plan visuals, and interactive option selectors for major UK residential housing developers

We operate in a structured POD model with strong UK ↔ India coordination, defined QC standards, and a growing focus on data-driven quality improvement.

The Role

This is a hands-on architectural QC role. As an Architectural Technician, you will be the line of defence between the production team and the UK client — ensuring every render and 3D output accurately reflects the client-supplied drawings before delivery.

This is not a modelling role. You will not do modelling. Instead, you will read architectural drawings carefully, compare them against produced renders, identify deviations, flag missing or contradictory information, and ensure the final output meets the Architectural Accuracy Charter standard.

You will work directly within a POD, coordinate with UK Arch Managers on drawing queries, and play an active role in pre-production project study and post-production quality review.

Key Responsibilities

Render Quality Control

•        Conduct detailed QC reviews of rendered images against client-supplied CAD drawings.

•        Verify element positions, materials, fence placement, hard and soft landscape, and surface finishes against the drawing hierarchy.

•        Apply the Asset Checklist SOP for systematic checking before any render is released.

•        Identify deviations between rendered output and client drawings and raise them to the modelling team for correction.

Project Study & Briefing

•        Review all client drawings before production starts — site plans, house type elevations, hard/soft landscape, boundary treatments.

•        Identify missing or contradictory information and raise RFIs to the UK team through the agreed escalation path.

•        Document assumptions and internal deductions in the project briefing template.

•        Sign off on Production Readiness before modelling work begins.

UK Coordination

•        Coordinate with UK Arch Managers on drawing clarifications and revisions.

•        Use the Follow vs Query SOP to decide when to proceed with internal deduction vs raise a formal query.

•        Maintain clear written communication and audit trail of all queries raised.

Documentation & Process

•        Maintain the project folder structure per company standards (Latest, Superseded folders).

•        Contribute to continuous improvement of the Asset Checklist SOP, Charter, and other QC documents.

•        Log errors using the agreed classification framework for trend analysis and reporting.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

•        Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings — site plans, elevations, sections, landscape plans.

•        Proficient in AutoCAD (drawing review level). Revit familiarity is a plus.

•        Comfortable navigating 3D models to verify geometry and materials — modelling skills not required, but visual literacy in 3D is essential.

•        Understanding of basic architectural principles — building forms, levels, boundary treatments, fence types, retaining walls, soft landscape conventions.

•        Familiarity with UK residential housing conventions is a strong advantage.

Behavioural Skills

•        Meticulous attention to detail — the role lives or dies on noticing what others miss.

•        Patience and discipline — QC is repetitive work that demands consistency.

•        Clear written and verbal English — you will be communicating with UK stakeholders in writing daily.

•        Comfortable raising concerns and pushing back when something looks wrong — even when others disagree.

•        Curiosity and willingness to learn architectural standards on the job.

Experience

•        Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural drafting, render QC, or a related architectural production role.

•        Experience with UK or international clients is preferred but not essential.

Education

•        Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related architectural field.

•        Diploma holders with strong relevant experience will be considered.

Benefits

What We Offer

•        A defined growth path — progression from AT to Senior AT to ATL, with documented competency frameworks.

•        Direct exposure to UK clients and international workflows.

•        Structured QC processes — Architectural Accuracy Charter, Asset Checklist SOP, Drawing Hierarchy, Production Readiness Gate.

•        Cross-functional training to broaden capability across asset types and PODs.

•        Competitive salary and benefits.

•        A collaborative team environment built around documented standards, not personal preferences.
