As a SALT Indirect Tax - SAP DRC Senior Associate, you will engage with clients to address their state and local tax challenges, offering solutions that align with their business objectives and comply with applicable tax laws. Within our Tax practice, you will be part of a team that helps clients manage their indirect tax responsibilities, including value-added taxes, sales and use taxes, and other transaction taxes. You will identify opportunities and issues related to business expansion, systems and controls, and policy design.
As a Senior Associate, you will leverage your skills to analyze complex problems and mentor junior team members. You will focus on building meaningful client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context. Navigating increasingly complex situations, you will grow your personal brand and deepen your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality solutions even when the path forward isn't clear.

Responsibilities
- Analyzing complex state and local indirect tax issues to provide strategic solutions for clients
- Collaborating with clients to assess and manage their indirect tax responsibilities, including value-added taxes, sales and use taxes, and other transaction taxes
- Identifying opportunities for tax optimization and recommending solutions that align with clients' business objectives
- Utilizing analytical thinking to explore indirect tax opportunities related to business expansion, systems, and controls
- Reviewing and validating tax documentation and compliance to align with applicable tax laws and regulations
- Leveraging tax technology tools to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of tax processes
- Mentoring junior team members by delegating tasks and providing coaching to achieve desired results
- Engaging in critical thinking to address unstructured problems and extract insights from industry trends
- Building quality relationships with clients through straightforward communication and adaptive behavior
- Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct while delivering client services
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce
- At least 3 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
