Role Purpose:

The Product Manager – Experience owns the "Why does this matter to users, and does it create meaningful outcomes?" of the product.

This role is responsible for ensuring Quest Alliance's products deliver intuitive, engaging, and impactful experiences that drive measurable learning, transition, and ecosystem outcomes. Working across a portfolio of 10+ products serving over 1 million users, the Product Manager – Experience leads product discovery, user research, experience strategy, adoption, and outcome measurement.

Partnering closely with the Product Manager – Operations, this role ensures products are not only delivered reliably but are also valuable, usable, and effective for learners, educators, institutions, employers, and ecosystem stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy & Portfolio Direction

  • Define experience and outcomes strategy aligned to organizational goals and user needs.
  • Identify product opportunities through user insights, ecosystem trends, and performance data.
  • Drive prioritization decisions that maximize user value and impact.
  • Contribute to portfolio-level product planning and investment decisions.

2. User Research & Product Discovery

  • Lead continuous discovery through user interviews, field visits, surveys, and analytics.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable product insights and recommendations.
  • Validate assumptions and opportunities before significant product investments.
  • Establish regular feedback loops with learners, educators, and implementation teams.

3. Experience Design & User Journey Ownership

  • Own end-to-end user journeys across products and user segments.
  • Define experience standards that promote usability, accessibility, and inclusion.
  • Partner with design and engineering teams to improve product interactions and workflows.
  • Identify and address user friction points through iterative improvements.

4. Learning Outcomes & Behaviour Change

  • Ensure products are designed to drive meaningful learning and transition outcomes.
  • Translate learning science and behavioural insights into product requirements.
  • Partner with Program, LxD, and MEL teams to define and measure outcome indicators.
  • Evaluate whether product experiences are producing intended user outcomes.

5. Adoption, Engagement & Retention

  • Own metrics related to activation, adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Identify barriers to product usage and develop interventions to improve uptake.
  • Design and evaluate experiments that improve user participation and success.
  • Monitor product performance and recommend experience improvements.

6. Product Roadmap & Prioritization

  • Own experience-focused roadmap priorities across assigned products.
  • Balance user needs, impact potential, technical feasibility, and organizational priorities.
  • Define product requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product Operations to align roadmap commitments.

7. Data, Insights & Product Performance

  • Define frameworks for measuring product effectiveness and user success.
  • Analyze user behaviour, engagement trends, and outcome data.
  • Generate actionable insights that inform product strategy and investments.
  • Ensure decisions are grounded in evidence and measurable impact.

8. Stakeholder Alignment & Product Advocacy

  • Serve as the voice of the user across product discussions and decisions.
  • Build alignment among Product, Program, Engineering, MEL, and leadership teams.
  • Communicate product insights, priorities, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Champion user-centered and outcome-driven product practices across the organization.

Requirements

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong experience in product management, user experience, service design, EdTech, digital platforms, or outcome-driven product roles.

  • Proven ability to lead product discovery and prioritization in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Deep understanding of:

    • User research and product discovery
    • User experience and journey design
    • Product analytics and experimentation
    • Adoption, engagement, and retention frameworks
  • Experience translating user needs, behavioural insights, and organizational goals into product roadmaps and requirements.

  • Strong ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions and measure impact.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Program, MEL, Content, and external partners.

  • Familiarity with learning products, behaviour change interventions, workforce development, or education ecosystems (preferred).

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, identify opportunities, and convert insights into scalable product solutions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Benefits

Salary:

The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 1,00,000 /- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
