Senior Engineer - Tile PnR

Role Summary

We are looking for a Sr. Engineer with experience in Tile/Block-level Place & Route (PnR) for SoC/ASIC physical design projects. The candidate will work on end-to-end block implementation including placement, CTS, routing, timing closure, and physical verification support for advanced technology nodes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Tile/Block-level Place & Route (PnR) activities for SoC/ASIC designs.
• Work on floorplanning support, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
• Analyze and fix setup/hold timing violations, congestion, and routing issues.
• Support power optimization, area optimization, and QoR improvement activities.
• Work closely with STA, floorplanning, DFT, and full-chip teams.
• Perform physical verification checks and support DRC/LVS closure.
• Support EMIR, SI, and low-power implementation activities.
• Develop and use scripts for flow automation and design checks.
• Participate in design reviews and debugging activities.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of ASIC/SoC physical design flow.
• Hands-on experience in block/tile-level PnR implementation.
• Experience with tools such as Cadence Innovus, ICC2, or Fusion Compiler.
• Knowledge of placement, CTS, routing, timing closure, and physical verification.
• Understanding of STA concepts, congestion analysis, and low-power design.
• Scripting knowledge in Tcl, Perl, or Python is preferred.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Qualification

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics/ECE/VLSI/Microelectronics or related field
