DRE - HVAC Refrigerant Loop Engineer

Responsibilities The HVAC Refrigerant Loop Release Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of the automotive A/C lines and A/C Compressor. The candidate will ensure the A/C lines and Compressor meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as BIW Under hood, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling, and suppliers. Duties will include writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables. The candidate will maintain a component DVP&R, Candidate will also support pilot build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of HVAC refrigerant loop components.

Bachelor of Science (Engineering) from an ABET accredited university. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university. 3-5 years of experience in HVAC and duct design/development. Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R). Basic thermodynamics knowledge.
