Hiring for Safety Officer

Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and use of personal protective equipment. Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets. Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in occupational safety and health. Participate in safety committees and meetings to address safety concerns and develop solutions. Assist with the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness. Serve as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies on safety-related matters.

Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, or a related field preferred. Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or equivalent preferred.
